Following are Youngstown Specialty Metals, Inc. material specifications, chemical composition and
manufacturing notes.

Full Hard Temper Strip Steel™
Slit Coils or Flat Strips
This temper intended for flatwork and punching only as it has not been annealed after final cold rolling
and is very stiff and springy. It will take a slight set across the grain before fracture.

Half Hard Temper Strip Steel™
This temper has had considerable cold rolling after annealing. Will take a right angle bend across
the grain and a limited amount with the grain.

Pinch Pass or Skin Rolled Temper Strip Steel™
A Superior Product Skin Rolled or Pinch Pass Temper. Recommended for moulding, tubular or
moderate drawing requirements. Can be furnished in either coils or cut lentghs.

Quarter Hard Temper Strip Steel™
This temper has had a moderate amount of cold rolling after annealing. Will bend at right angles
either way of the grain, and down on itself across the grain.

1050 Carbon Cold Rolled Annealed Strip Steel™
It can be easily formed, blanked, shaped or slightly drawn, heat treated, hardened and tempered.
